After a very prosperous and busy year keeping up with the high sophisticated Eastern market demands,Catherine is having a solo exib at the very prestigious FAIRLAWNS HOTEL on the 4th December in conjunction with ART NOW and the charity trust called I AM CHANGING THE WORLD.In this very fashionable and exciting event all the works will be put up for auction.Catherine has used her art to donate over 4OOK this year to various charities in the hope of making, "a little difference."
JUNE 08
At the recent launch of Future Exotics, a lifestyle emporium selling luxury cars, yachts & private jets, a Catherine Christie work entitled “The Last Oyster” was auctioned for the Nelson Mandela Reach for a Dream Foundation, reaching more than R50 000.
Also auctioned on the evening was a calendar featuring the word’s top lingerie models, while they walked the ramp. The Moti family, directors of the emporium put on a lavish spread for the esteemed guests, including the Consulate General of Monaco, who flew in especially to celebrate this star-studded event.
APRIL 08
In April this year, the Aspire Gallery will be opening in Pretoria with a solo exhibition of Catherine’s work. Designed by Chris Pattichiddes, it is one of the most beautiful new art spaces in South Africa.
FEBRUARY 08
Catherine Christie is currently building a house on the slopes of the Hout Bay mountains with a much larger studio. The idea being that clients can now come and choose art pieces in another beautiful setting, her home, tour the studio and enjoy a glass of wine with the artist. The Catherine Christie Signature Gallery building, one of her larger works, is presently being enjoyed by Hout Bay locals for other purposes. This private gallery will be ready in August 2008 and offers the discerning buyer a true peep into the life of the person who's wild alchemical soul prints are taking the contemporary art collectors world by storm!
Since the closing of the two year exhibition at the Signature Gallery, the artist now has had the time to explore the Eastern art market traveling to Dubai in March to meet with 2 exclusive art galleries there that are to exhibit her work on a permanent basis.

Catherine Christie has had the honor of representing South Africa in a global art competition to raise funds for and awareness of cancer research. The art will be on display at the Royal College of Art, Kensington Grove, London. Catherine Christie will be donating her work to the college following the competition.
Catherine Christie has been nominated for the prestigious South African Woman Of The Year award 2006 in culture and arts.
The Catherine Christie Signature Gallery has the honor of being considered for representation at the prestigious and internationally acclaimed Art Basel Miami Beach, to be held in Miami 7-10 December 2006. A collection of Catherine's African themed works will form part of her unique exhibition at this art showcase.

The Catherine Christie Signature Gallery was the sole invitee from Cape Town to attend Style Magazine's 25th Birthday celebrations in Johannesburg Sat March 11th - a veritable feast of fashion, French champagne and flair for 500 VIP guests set at the magical Villa Arcadia.

The auction of “Neptune’s Return” and “Indigo Tide” on Saturday August 13th raised R 40 000 for St James’s House. Catherine’s personal contribution boosted the evenings success by another R 10 000! Eyal – owner of Summerville and host of the evening is quoted as saying “I am astounded by the contribution of the auction, Catherine’s works took it into another league. Her generosity was remarkable.”
A charity auction at Summerville in Camps Bay will be held on sat 12th august 2006 in aid of St James House. One of Catherine's works will be donated again for auction to rise funds for this most worthy charity.
